Software changes over time. This small collection focuses on one publicly released client build, retained for historical reference, research, and educational study of internet and software history. The release label, date, and file checksums provide context for the stored copy.
Original distribution
EverQuest has been distributed through Daybreak’s official launcher and Steam. Those services remain the sources for the current supported release. This archive is independent, has no advertising or paid access, and makes no claim to ownership of the original software.
Research and reference
This collection and its download service are maintained solely to support historical preservation, education, and technical research. The research and preservation page documents the reference copy and publishes reproducible observations, research data, and studies of software and interface history, including the distinction between a client artifact and the live service.
The collection’s purpose is preservation and study. Copyright and trademark rights remain with their respective owners; use of the material should respect applicable rights and licenses.
